Is he really the world’s poorest president as popularly assumed
by various pages round the world?
To me I strongly believe he is not,
The word wealth is not only the possession of a large amount
of money, properties and such likes, but in the amount of lives an individual is able to impact, the number
of faces he brings smiles to .
We live in a country were legislators both federal and state
are not willingly to share the lot they make with the needy, except with the
women they have affairs with and few relations.
Corruption is wrecking all the facets of the economy and
people go free for embezzling funds met to meet public needs.
And yet in the same world you find a man who gives almost
all he makes, his charitable donations – which benefit poor people and small
entrepreneurs and he is referred to as the poorest. I put it to all who cares
to read and comment that Jose Mujica, is the richest president in the world. One
is poor only if they choose to be. Wealth got from stealing public goods is poverty in disguise.
